KidSuper Collaborates with the NBA and Fanatics on One-of-a-Kind Licensed NBA Apparel
KidSuper is collaborating with the NBA and Fanatics to release a collection of fashion replica jerseys and shorts for all 30 basketball teams called NBA & KidSuper Studios by Fanatics.
KidSuper is based out of Brooklyn, New York, and is an emerging streetwear brand that is quickly rising to global prominence with apparel that goes against the fashion grain in all the best ways. From his humble beginnings as a math major at NYU to becoming Louis Vuitton’s first ever guest designer in just a few short years, there’s no denying that Colm Dillane, KidSuper’s founder and creative director, has taken the fashion world by storm. In the past five years, Colm and his brand have been recognized and worn by countless celebrities, made several eccentric but distinctive appearances at Paris Fashion Week, and has caught the attention of the luxury brand, Louis Vuitton.
NBA & KidSuper Studios by Fanatics Collaboration
For the first time ever, KidSuper is collaborating with the NBA on custom fashion replica jerseys for all 30 NBA teams. These jersey and shorts combinations will feature KidSuper’s iconic artistic stylings paired with each team’s logo and designs that reflect the characteristics that make each team unique.
Unique and One-of-a-Kind NBA Jerseys
With NBA jerseys designed by KidSuper, both basketball fans and fashion hypebeasts will be able to show off their style while repping their favorite teams with an exclusive jersey that’s as distinctive as it is rare.
This collaboration gives fashion-conscious NBA fans a unique opportunity to combine their love for fashion with their favorite basketball team.

Whether you’re a fan of basketball, a collector of NBA jerseys, or a lover of all things fashion, it’s an exciting time to be alive! But, before you check out this once-in-a-lifetime collab, take some time to learn a little bit more about its designer, Colm Dillane.
The Origins of KidSuper
Although Dillane grew up in Wisconsin, he and his family moved to New York City when he was 12. There he found himself surrounded by teens obsessed with wearing expensive, name brand clothing like Supreme, Bape, 10 Deep, and Stussy, just to name a few.
Instead of conforming to the status quo by spending all his money on clothes with certain logos, a 15-year-old Colm Dillane, along with a small circle of his friends, started screen-printing t-shirts with custom pizza-themed designs on them and named the brand Brick Oven T-Shirts, or BOTS for short.
Their hope was to one day compete with the very same brands their peers were obsessing over.
After failing to convince local clothing stores to carry their tees, Colm and his friends eventually had a falling out, slowly lost interest in BOTS, and eventually gave up on it entirely.
While this business venture didn’t last very long, it did plant the seeds of what would later become KidSuper in a young Colm Dillane’s head.
How KidSuper Took Off
During his first year at NYU, Dillane met Danny, his roommate’s best friend. Danny, who’s now a constant fixture of Dillane’s entourage, designed websites for fun and helped Colm get KidSuper off the ground by launching an ecommerce store stocked with just three products: a t-shirt, a hat, and a long sleeve, all of which were branded with the now famous moniker, KidSuper.
At some point during his sophomore year in college, Colm decided to spray paint his dorm room walls and transform it into a clothing store where he sold KidSuper clothing to other NYU undergrad students.
This reckless, albeit creative stunt almost got him kicked out of the dorms and served as a sort of catalyst for Dillane’s fashion career.
This small act of rebellion encouraged Colm to pursue this passion project further, and shortly after graduating from NYU with a degree in Mathematics, Dillane invested in a tiny, rundown retail space in Brooklyn where he and other artists would go on to spend all their waking hours honing their art.
For Colm, this meant creating art through his apparel and making connections with other creatives.
KidSuper’s grassroots success in the NYU and New York creative communities led to a cult following, which is where Colm first encountered New York-based rappers, like Mac Miller and artist duo Upper West.
These musicians and others like them helped usher Colm’s brand into the mainstream by wearing KidSuper in their music videos and at social events.
What Makes KidSuper So Special?
KidSuper apparel is best described as street-inspired wearable art pieces, especially since much of Colm’s original artwork is featured on the clothing. This is why it’s easy to understand KidSuper’s overlapping appeal among both streetwear aficionados and high fashion connoisseurs.
Each piece stands out with bright, eye-catching colors and one-of-a-kind designs unlike anything else being offered by other streetwear brands that are priced similarly to KidSuper.
KidSuper’s collection of jackets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, bottoms, and accessories all feature works of art that could just as easily fit on an abstract painter’s canvas or along the walls of a modern art museum.
So much so, that it’s not a stretch to compare KidSuper apparel to high fashion brands like Gucci, Dior, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton.
In fact, Louis Vuitton officially announced on January 10 that Colm Dillane is slated to be a guest designer for their upcoming Fall/Winter 2023 collection. More specifically, Louis Vuitton stated that he is “embedded into the men’s studio.”
With this, Dillane is making history as Louis Vuitton’s first guest designer and the fashion world is waiting in eager anticipation for what he has in store.
