The Los Angeles Rams are going back to the Super Bowl!
Off the heels of an unbelievable fourth-quarter comeback over divisional rivals the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams are headed to Super Bowl LVI – conveniently located in their home of SoFi Stadium. The Rams reigned supreme by score of 20-17, scoring the last 13 points of the game to secure the victory.

For Matthew Stafford, it’s a trip to his first ever Super Bowl in his first season with his new team. The veteran quarterback arrived in the offseason in a splash deal that signaled intent from the franchise, and Stafford has delivered by bringing them back to the Super Bowl.
Despite having one of the most stacked rosters going into the season, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the Rams. They still endured through arguably the league’s toughest division as champions, and in the process defeated last year’s defending champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But it all nearly dissolved right in front of them Sunday, with the Niners taking control of the game midway through the third quarter by stretching their lead to double digits. The Rams defense dug in and got stops, giving Stafford an opportunity to make late throws to Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. that ultimately put them in position to win the game.
The Rams have been aggressive in seasons’ past by trading away years’ worth of first-round picks for players that they expect will help them ‘win now’, and the gambles are starting to pay off. After Jared Goff led them to the doorstep of a championship three seasons ago before the Rams were defeated by the Patriots in Super Bowl 54, the Rams will have a shot at redemption.
While LA has a few new faces who will play in their first Super Bowl, such as Beckham Jr. and Jalen Ramsey, there are a couple of key players on the Rams’ roster, such as Aaron Donald, who will be looking at redemption after coming up short in Super Bowl LIII.
