The Dodgers are no strangers to recent success having won three of the last four National League pennants, and were primed for a run at the title in the 60-game season. After coming up just short in their last two World Series appearances, they found the winning formula in 2020 behind an explosive lineup and a stellar bullpen.
In his first season with the Dodgers, Betts delivered constantly through the postseason with unbelievable defensive plays in the outfield. Timely hits from Kike Hernandez, Justin Turner and the occasional bomb from Cody Bellinger fueled the Dodgers throughout October.
Of course, Corey Seager ended up stealing the show. Seager was red-hot throughout the postseason with eight home runs and 19 RBI, capping off an insane season.
The Rays didn’t go down without a fight, including a crazy Game 4 comeback victory in the bottom of the ninth, and showed their resiliency al postseason long. When it came down to it, the Dodgers’ talent and deep lineup of bats prevailed.
